Casair and Point Broadband Announce Business Combination
STANTON, MI – Casair, a locally owned and operated provider of fiber-to-the-home and fiber-fed fixed wireless Internet services, today announced a business combination with Point Broadband, a West Point, Ga.-based fiber broadband company operating in 10 states.
“As Point Broadband grows its fiber networks throughout the U.S., we look for successful companies who share our core values and paramount focus on customer service,” said Todd Holt, Point Broadband CEO. “Casair was a great fit. This transaction is a win for the people of Michigan as we look to expand fiber services into areas that need it most. We are excited to welcome the talented Casair family to the Point Broadband team and are ready to grow our fiber networks in the Michigan region.”
Holt said Casair customers will continue to enjoy the same exceptional local service, support and reliability they’ve enjoyed with Casair, under the new Point Broadband brand. All Casair employees will transfer to Point Broadband with the same positions.
“Casair has established itself as a premiere broadband provider in Central Michigan,” said Steve Meinhardt, President of Casair. “Our goal has always been to serve customers in rural areas who have little or no option for much-needed high-speed Internet. We have been aggressive and successful in doing just that over the past several decades. This transaction with Point Broadband secures the resources necessary for further expansion to meet the growing demand for broadband services that are even more critical for at-home working and learning in today’s world.”
