Opelika, Ala., December 6, 2024 – Point Broadband, the fast-growing fiber technology provider headquartered in Opelika, Alabama is pleased to announce that both Chief Executive Officer Patricia Martin and Chief Marketing Officer Zenita Henderson received prestigious industry honors within a 24-hour period.

Patricia Martin is recognized as one of 2024’s Most Powerful Women by Cablefax: Tapped as CEO in January after 18 years at Cox Communications, Martin dove in head first as leader of the ever-expanding Point Broadband. She’s fleshed out her leadership team, bringing in vets like former Comcasters Kathy Fox as Chief Project Officer, Joann Shumard as Chief Network Officer, and Segra’s Zenita Henderson as Chief Marketing Officer. Martin is on the lookout for opportunities to grow Point Broadband’s footprint across its 10-state territory. In October, it acquired Riviera Utilities’ cable and internet business in Foley, Alabama, and immediately got to work upgrading it to fiber.

Cablefax celebrates the Most Powerful Women, like Martin, for their influence and leadership within the industry as well as their dedication to empowering other execs to grow and thrive. Martin’s profile, along with the other Most Powerful Women honorees, can be viewed in a dedicated issue at CablefaxWomen.com.

The second Point Broadband leader receiving recognition this week is Zenita Henderson, who has been elected to the Cable Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The Syndeo Institute at The Cable Center will honor six visionaries in the world of media and entertainment at the 28th annual Cable Hall of Fame celebration, a red-carpet event at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

One of the industry’s most prestigious and exclusive honors, inductees are selected from a large group of nominees by a committee of peers and leaders. Since 1998, 165 luminaries have been inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame. The official 2025 Cable Hall of Fame hashtag is #CableHOF2025. For more information, visit www.cablehalloffame.com.

Point Broadband proudly congratulates Patricia Martin and Zenita Henderson, along will all the other industry trailblazers who are making a lasting impact. Each was selected for their groundbreaking innovation and entrepreneurship in the connectivity, content, and media industry.

What a week at Point Broadband!
