Why are you discontinuing my Scientific Atlanta/Cisco Digital TV service?
The digital platform that delivers your level of TV service is no longer supported by the vendor. We stopped selling this service several years ago but continued offering it for customers who already had it. The service is subject to disruption or failure in the very short term.
When will my TV service be cut off?
We will discontinue the Scientific Atlanta/Cisco platform on Dec. 1, 2020.
What are my options to watch TV?
We hope you will take this opportunity to try out streaming, as we believe it is the best option for service and affordability. Cable TV rates continue to increase year over year and streaming is a great alternative that can save you money. How do I stream TV content?
There are three easy steps to streaming:
1. Have fast, reliable Internet like our fiber-to-the-home network. We recommend having a 100 Mbps speed plan or higher for best results.
2. Use a Smart TV or a streaming device like the Amazon Firestick or Roku. Streaming services also give you the convenience of streaming through your computer, tablet or smart phone so you can watch TV programming anywhere!
3. Choose your streaming providers.
Streaming is confusing. How do I know which service to get?

What Internet plan do I need to stream?
We recommend a 100Mbps or higher for the best streaming experience, depending on how many TVs/devices you have connected. Ask about our current upgrade and new service specials!
What are my other options for TV other than streaming?
If you prefer a more traditional cable TV experience, Point Broadband has partnered with DISH Network to provide an innovative new set of video entertainment services to our customers. DISH offers plans starting as low as $59.99 for 190 Channels! We can transfer you to a DISH representative or visit https://point-broadband.getdish.com to sign up.
What do I do with my TV equipment?
You can dispose of the set-top box in the trash or recycle. There will be no charge for unreturned equipment.
Can I download or keep my DVR recordings if I have a DVR?
Unfortunately, you are not able to keep your recordings. Most streaming services offer a cloud DVR option.
If I can’t get TV from you, why would I want Internet from you?
We understand your frustration in losing your TV service from us. But we hope you’ll continue to let us serve your Internet needs. Because our network is the only fiber-to-the-home network in the area, we have the most reliable and fastest network, especially for streaming video.
