West Point, GA – Point Broadband, a fiber-fed, fixed wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), announced today that they will begin installing customers in the Donalsonville area in early November. This expansion complements Point Broadband’s current footprint in Miller and Decatur counties.
“Earlier this Fall we began a campaign to gauge interest in the Donalsonville area, and the response was very positive” said Point Broadband’s VP of Marketing Taylor Nipper. “Our Internet service will provide the speed that customers are looking for to cut the cord with cable or satellite TV and stream video content directly to their devices,“ added Nipper.
Point Broadband is also evaluating Lake Seminole for further expansion opportunities if the demand is there. “We have received several requests from the Lake Seminole area, so it makes sense to connect customers in that underserved location,” said Nipper. “We hope to generate enough interest in the Lake Seminole area to expand our coverage to customers there” added Nipper. Potential Lake Seminole customers should complete the Contact Us Form on Point Broadband’s website and pay a refundable deposit. If Point Broadband receives enough responses, they will begin tower work in the Lake Seminole area in December 2017. Customers that pay a deposit will receive priority installation when service is available.
Point Broadband offers plans starting at as low as $49 with a one-time, standard installation fee. This Internet service includes unlimited Internet with no data caps and no contracts. Several standard plans are available for homes and small businesses along with customized service offerings for larger businesses.
