Self Installation FAQs
If I followed all of the directions in the installation guide and I still do not have Internet access, what do I do?

Point Broadband has a dedicated line for assistance with these installations.  You can reach that line by dialing 276-246-8315 and entering the PIN # provided on the installation guide included in the self install kit.

What do I do if I cannot locate the email with my username and password for the Point SmarHome mobile app?

The Point SmartHome app has the option during login to send a confirmation email to the email address on file with Point Broadband. This allows you to log in without using a password. If you would still like to use a password, please contact Point Broadband using the above contact methods and a service representative would be happy to reset your password.

Can I use that support telephone number and pin after my service is installed?

Once your service is active, this line should no longer be used.  Customers should contact Point Broadband via the following paths:

1. Phone/Text:  844-407-6468

2. Website:  https://www.point-broadband.com/contact

3. Mobile Chat: https://www.point-broadband.com/mobile-chat

I am not getting my full bandwidth in certain parts of my house when I run a speed test. What do I do?

Customers should understand that your service bandwidth is guaranteed up the gateway router, which can be measured from within your Point SmartHome app. Measurement from WiFi devices within your home are subject to interference from walls, plumbing, electrical, mirrors, etc.  Because of this, it is normal to see bandwidth measurements that are lower than what is recorded from the gateway or via devices in direct proximity to the gateway. In limited cases, Point Broadband support may opt to install additional WiFi APs to support remote areas where connectivity speeds are inadequate for normal device usage.
