West Point, GA – Point Broadband, a fiber-fed, fixed wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP), announced today that they have entered into an agreement with the Lake Saint John Water Works to provide state-of-the-art Internet service to residents and businesses from the community’s water tower.
Point Broadband’s fiber-fed wireless equipment uses LTE technology that does not require a line of sight path to get service. Point Broadband is now seeking a minimum of 30 commitments from area residents, which includes a $25 refundable reservation fee to be applied to the cost of installation once service capability has been confirmed. “Those who commit first will receive priority installation of internet service,” said Taylor Nipper, Vice President of Marketing. In return, Point Broadband promises to begin service installations within 45-60 days from the date the 30th reservation has been collected. All reservation fees will be fully refunded, if for some reason service is not connected.
“Before we can get started, we need to make sure we have enough interest in our services. Our Internet service will provide the speed that customers are looking for to cut the cord with cable or satellite TV, and stream video content directly to their devices,“ added Nipper.
Point Broadband offers plans starting at as low as $49 with a one-time, standard installation fee of $99. Internet service includes unlimited Internet with no data caps and no contracts. Several standard plans are available for homes and small businesses along with customized service offerings for businesses.
